ONE.  A designer’s colorful home.

TWO.  I often see these at flea markets and thrift stores, and this is a fun way to display them. (Also, I keep seeing Liz Marie on Hello Fresh commercials when I’m watching Hulu!)

one-dish-meals

THREE.  I pinned several of these one-dish meal ideas.

mountain getaway

FOUR.  Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick’s mountain getaway. (It’s no shack.)

FIVE.  A fun Instagram account to follow. She posts snippets of her own design work and always finds the best before and after exteriors to share.

SIX.  Heads up: everybody’s favorite leggings and more Zella pieces are on sale here.

5 Etsy Textile Shops to Bookmark

Jan282019

I always like to share good Etsy sources and sellers. I’ve personally used several of these and have had great experiences. Here are five textile shops you might want to bookmark:

The Pillow Cover Store: You can’t beat the prices on all sizes of pillow covers (and they’re having a sale with even more off today!).

Windows by Melissa:  I’ve used Melissa several times for roman shades and have always been happy. She does great work and is always super helpful. You can send your fabric directly to her and she can also help you source. It’s like having your own workroom without ever leaving your house.

RockinCushions:  Check out their $12-$14 pillow covers–most with low or free shipping. They’re 18″ which is the perfect size for a 20″ down insert. They also make IKEA chair pad covers.

Etsy pillow shop monograms

Southern Linens:  If you’re wanting to give your bedding a lift, I love this shop’s monogrammed shams. They’re a great alternative to the much pricier and popular Leontine Linens.

KLineDeco:  Looking for something special? I’m including this shop for their large selection of hard-to-find designer fabrics. They have some really pretty pillow covers. Splurge on one or two of these statement pillows and pair with covers from one of the less expensive shops I’ve included for a good mix.

blue-white-designer-portfolio-MaineHouse-Interiors

ONE.  No shortage of blue and white in this Australian designer’s pretty portfolio.

Katie Ridder portfolio

TWO.  Have you looked through Katie Ridder’s projects lately? Her work reinforces my love of bold walls.

how-to-rent-your-home-for-movies

THREE.  What it’s like to rent out your home out for movies and TV–and how you can do it, too.

architectural-portfolio

FOUR.  I included a showhouse designed by this architectural firm in my last Saturday 6, but here’s the rest of their portfolio. It’s like taking a tour of homes from the comfort of your sofa.

small kitchen renovation IKEA cabinets

FIVE.  A small kitchen renovation that makes the most of storage space using IKEA cabinets.

vintage-pieces

SIX.  A designer/stylist shares the vintage pieces she regrets getting rid of over the years. . . (Not sure about how Marie Kondo would feel about this, but I understand her pain.)
