I’ve never been big on designer labels and that also goes for my home decor. There are so many great look a-likes for designer lamps out there that it’s outside of my realm of thinking to pay what some of these high end brands ask–and also the fact that I just change my mind too much to marry a $1000 lamp of any kind. For example, I instantly envisioned this little Ralph Lauren floor lamp for our kitchen sitting area, but I also need to send several kids to college, so. . . I found this one on Amazon and it gives me the same feel (plus about $900 extra dollars). I’ll take it.
If you’re also looking for lamps, here are a few really good options for getting the look for less.
Let me know if you’ve found any other good designer “dupes” lately.

I LOVE the green paint! The lamp is beautiful and such a great deal:)
I love your new lamp! And thank you for this helpful post! There are some categories where spending the extra money is worth it to get better quality, but I agree that floor and table lamps can be a “save” rather than a “splurge.” There are so many lovely options at great price points if you do a little sleuthing!
Some really great “dupes” here. Thank you!
This is a fantastic high/low post on lamps. Thank you for doing all this research. It’s very much appreciated.
Yay! I’ve had a LOT of trouble receiving your blogs via email so maybe the glitches are fixed! Love the new floor lamp (brass looks stunning with the green) and if I had a spot for one (or two), I’d be buying it as well. Creating a look for less is much more fun than having carte blanche to buy whatever strikes your fancy.
