Consider this an early Christmas treat for your eyes. I discovered a beautiful Boston bookshop on Instagram this week, and if this doesn’t make you want to immediately quit your day job and become Kathleen Kelly, nothing will. It’s the very best blend of books and style. Every detail at Beacon Hill Books & Cafe is perfection, from the red pedestal display tables and bookshelves to the mini door in the children’s section. To top it off , there’s an indoor dining room that offers breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and a magical outdoor cafe.
More pretty details and video over on their Instagram page.
This is so lovely! Thank you for sharing this find with us, Emily! My “if I could do it all over again” wish has always been to have a shop just like this. It is so important to support locally owned shops of all kinds these days. May their years be long!
Absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing: )
Oh my goodness! So much greatness here. This makes me so happy and I was about to plan a drive to Charlotte for the experience until I saw Boston. LOL
Magical! And speaking of books, I also wanted to add that I have loved your book recommendations. I have a few in my cart and have read several this year you have suggested….all so good! Thank you. I always enjoy your blog.
Thank you, Yvette! So glad you’ve found some good ones from my lists.
Emily thank you so much for sharing! You are right this is a true Christmas Treat!!! I think they would have to kick me out at closing time ☺️
Wishing you and your family the Happiest of Holidays 🎄
Cathy Kincaid is the designer of this shop, I believe. I love her work!
Love this so much! Thank you for posting!
PS – I almost feel the need to add, “If you do not know who Kathleen Kelly is, we cannot be friends”, but then I realized, who in the world would not know who Kathleen Kelly is? I mean, really.
I was lucky enough to visit this bookstore in person in October. It is perfection! So charming and the details are incredible. Highly recommend that anyone making a trip to Boston include this on your itinerary!
That bookshop is divine.
Kathleen Kelly deserves the Nobel. All too soon printed books will be collectors items. An era we grew up with now a relic. Ms Kelly has taste, restraint and esthetic. Bless her heart for investing in them in that bookstore and bless you for allowing this glimpse. Ann
Wow. What a fantastic bookstore , decor center and cafe. Beautiful. Really went down a long winding 🐇🐇 hole.
Thanks for sharing. Must go there.
