October was fast but filled with fun things. A couple of weeks ago, I flew into Nashville where I met my brother and sister and we all headed to Kentucky together to surprise my mom for her 70th birthday. (My dad was given the hardest task of keeping the secret for months.) We were sitting in a corner booth when she walked into the restaurant for lunch in the middle of the week. Her reaction was priceless. We spent a few days as just “the original 5” eating, shopping, laughing and sleeping in our old bedrooms. I’ve already told my kids to plan the same for my 70th, even though no one has officially left the house yet. . .
A few more good things from last month:
I burn this candle in my kitchen almost every morning.
These ever-popular blankets are on sale here.
I love this leave-in conditioning treatment.
This serving platter and serving bowl. Perfect for a Thanksgiving table or for a hostess gift.
Also, the cutest holiday tumblers for $3.
Target sweatshirts on sale. I ordered this one for $18.
A cozy cardigan coat for under $25.
Or, if you’e looking something heavier, I love the look of this plaid one.
These pull-on wide leg pants. (They hit just right on me with sneakers, and I’m 5’3″.)
A simple wooden advent calendar.
A pretty collection for your bathroom countertop.
If you love history, I just finished this book.
