Whether you miss the feel of a magazine in your hand or just enjoy going back and poring over pages of beautiful interiors, there are several new design books that you may want to add to your coffee table this fall. These books can be a bit of an investment so I specifically look for those that are by designers whose work I already know and love or for those books that are full of great photos I know I’ll want to study over time. And, a pretty cover is always a plus.
Celebrating Home: A Time For Every Season by James T. Farmer Pages of beautiful tablescapes and decor inspiration throughout the year. Perfect for anyone who loves to host and for fans of James’ traditional Southern style.
Establishing Home: Creating Space for a Beautiful Life with Family, Faith and Friends by Jean Stoffer I’m such a fan of Jean’s work and have followed her online for years. Along with beautiful images of her designs, Jean tells the story of how her career took an unexpected path that eventually led to a show on the Magnolia Network.
Veranda At Home in the South: Interior Design Reimagined by Stephanie Hunt. Features 27 Southern homes by designers you may recognize like Mark D. Sikes, Bunny Williams and a personal favorite, Caroline Gidiere.
Parisian by Design by David Jimenez I love his layered, collected style and especially his Paris apartment. Besides images to go back and study again and again, he shares tips for setting a table and decorating in Parisian style.
House Beautiful Live Colorfully by Jo Saltz Whether you love to decorate with color or aspire to use more in your home, this book provides inspiration in almost every shade. It’s full of colorful images along with tips from interior designers on how to pair and select paint.
