Painting our brick fireplace white still ranks as one of my favorite improvements we’ve made to our living room. Maybe that’s why this simple project caught my eye on Instagram. Kelly of The Fresh Home made over her white mantel and shiny black granite fireplace surround in phases and I think the end (black matte) result is amazing.
She started with the mantel, which is smart. But keep scrolling to see how updated it all looks once she painted the granite surround and hearth, too.
