I’m thinking of changing around some lighting in our house and adding a more modern light in the office/front room. In all of my online searching, I came across some good high/low options that are worth sharing. I love the contrast between using traditional pieces in a room and adding a modern statement light. (In other words, don’t count these out just because you feel your style leans a certain way. See my last post.) When searching for the “look for less,” keep in mind that you may sometimes have to overlook a bad product photo or reimagine it with different bulbs but often, these small details are worth the savings when you compare price tags. When you pick out modern lighting, as in your first example, how do you know what it will look like when it is lit? I keep wondering what direction the light would go in, in such a chandelier. I really like the black one.
I think they are adjustable. I just ordered one very similar to the black one for our office/dining room so I’ll let you know :)
Wow these are amazing! Definitely bookmarking for later
We, too, have 8 foot ceilings in our (older) house so your lighting posts have become my go-to lately. Thank you!
Thank you, I love high/low segments.
Great post, Emily!
