I don’t know about you, but I can’t read one more post or article on anxiety, stress management, at-home workouts or 127 activities to do with your kids–which actually leads to more stress for me. Although it’s a few days late (but who really knows what day it is, anyway?!), I’m sharing a short list of some of the good–and simple–things I discovered during March.
I’m adding this hammock and stand to our backyard.
One of my favorite collections for outdoor rugs at great prices for bigger sizes.
It’s not gourmet, but this is the quickest, easiest meal and it was a hit. (Give me more ideas, please!)
Since my walks have picked up recently, I replaced my worn out shoes with these.
Free audio books for kids + teens offered here.
This modern planter is a good size (and designer look) for the price.
I bought this oversized tote when I still thought I had places to go. . .
This is a great little bench to tuck away under a console or as a pair at the end of a bed.
Two cosmetic picks: I switched to this easy powder foundation and love it and these are my very favorite lipsticks.
And two skincare picks: I ordered this inexpensive face brush and added this serum to my routine. (According to YouTubers, we all need one. . .)
I’ve been listening to this soothing album on my phone a lot lately. . .
And because I always get questions about them, I’m re-linking to the topiaries on my porch. (They’ve been a great investment.) Mine are in these black planters.
See last month’s Good Things here.
Thank you Emily. Have a blessed week!
I couldn’t agree more, anytime I see a new streaming workout or even a celebrity reading bedtime books for kids I close the browser immediately. Perhaps it helps some people, but for me I don’t need more things that I SHOULD be doing!
I can’t open the “soothing album” on the Amazon site from where I am. Could you please share the name?
I’m never sure how to link to music! It’s called “Peaceful Moments of Worship.”

Thank you for this bit of happy news! Much needed amongst this time that fill us with anxiety about what we are to ding. Quite frankly, I am enjoying “not doing” some of the things and may continue afterwards. (Here-Hee)
Emily, you are such a breath of fresh air, and I love your sense of humor.
One thing that I have learned through this quarantine is that I will never again take my freedom to worship for granted. If any good comes from this maybe it will be that we will be appreciative to just have an ordinary day.
I am having trouble connecting to your site through Safari on my IPad.
The last post that appears is from February. I can only get to your new posts
by connecting through another site such as My Sweet Savannah. I hope you and your family stay healthy and happy.
Hi Becky, I was hoping the problem with the page not refreshing was resolved. I’ve had several people testing this and it’s been updating for us. Have you tried deleting your browser’s cache recently? Hope this helps!!
Gorgeous picture
If I have to open another email that starts with “We’re sure you’re feeling overwhelmed at the amount of information coming your way, but here are some important things you need to be aware of …..” Ugh.
Is there a certain foundation brush you use to apply the IT powder?
Thank you for this post, Emily!
HAHA! YES! Thank God…. I don’t have time, energy and/ or frankly want to plan a thousand and one activities for the kids. After all of the school work we have to do, its good old fashioned play time outside.
I love your lists that you put together! Heres a super easy and not fancy dinner that I made last night. I had a good amount of pasta left over from Sunday dinner so I made a quick homemade cheese sauce and made Mac and Cheese!
Thank you for some positivity. I am so over all of the negativity we are getting.
Where is your light on your porch from? Thanks!
