Easy Spring Wardrobe Basics from Walmart

April 16, 2020

This post is sponsored by Walmart.

Remember when we used to leave the house and go places? Right before this quarantine began, I ordered a few new basic pieces for Spring that I was excited about wearing and mixing with the rest of my wardrobe. Although I’m still awaiting the opportunity, I thought I’d go ahead and share some of the best things I’ve found online at Walmart lately. After all, if I’m shopping for clothes, basics (at great prices) that can transition into other seasons and with the rest of my closet seem like the best bet these days. . .

I ordered this black coatigan first and couldn’t love it more. It also comes in ivory and is a great weight for cooler Spring days. There’s a tie so that you can wear it as a wrap-around but I like it best open with a simple white tee and distressed jeans. (These are more of the Sofia by Sofia Vergara Jeans I like so much.) My leopard mules are also from Walmart and make a simple jeans/t-shirt combo feel a little more put together.

As always, Walmart offers free two-day shipping and returns with any $35+ order. A few more things I’d consider closet staples for Spring/Summer (and even Fall) layering: white sneakers, flat sandals, a utility or denim jacket, a blazer, a white blouse and a simple dress. A few more favorite finds:

How often are you getting dressed these days??

I get dressed everyday, but just in yoga pants and long-sleeved t-shirts :). My kids on the other hand, they stay in their pj’s pretty much all week until I make them get dressed for home church on Sundays (but I do make them change their undies every day, ha ha!).

Still getting dressed, but in my “dream work wardrobe” – jeans and a cute top or comfy top (and mostly shoes, just so I don’t notice how badly the floors need vacuuming 😊 Love your outfit picks, Emily, thank you!

Leggings and a long sleeved top! The one good thing about having to stay at home is not having to put makeup on every day!!! Also, this is forcing me to clean out my closet – finally!

I bought it at a local home decor shop years ago. It’s 24″ tall; this one is close in size and still available on Overstock:

My work from home wardrobe: Lands End straight-leg sweatpants, red or black, with a variety of long-sleeved t-shirts, a fleece jacket if it’s chilly, and wool Acorn slippers (which are like comfy flats) or Skechers. Thanks for continuing to post. I love your Saturday Six and look forward to it immensely :)
