In case you weren’t aware, it’s the day that most of the internet collectively loses its mind for Fall fashion, otherwise known as the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Depending on who you follow on Instagram, you might think it’s armageddon and we all have to be dressed to the (heavily layered) nines to survive. :) I shared my shopping strategy last year and not much has changed. In fact, I’m reigning it in even more this year and allowed myself one splurge and one save. (Well, okay I’m not 100% committing to this if this jacket and these shoes are restocked in my size. They do restock often during the sale, by the way.)
My splurge: this sueded feed bag which I’ll wear as a cross body. If you buy designer bags, it may not be that big of a splurge but I rarely do. It’s roomy, with a pocket on the back for my phone. I went back and forth between the two colors but finally ordered it in the acorn.
My save: this quilted jacket. (I just checked this morning and there’s just one size left(!) but keep checking back if you’re interested. I promise the restocking thing is true.) At $58, I’m claiming it as a “save” because I already know I’ll wear the heck out of this. It’s lightweight but has a really cozy sherpa lining, which means I can probably wear it straight through a mild NC winter. I like the collar and that there are a couple of snaps on the back so that you can adjust the waist to make it a little more fitted and a little less Michelin man.
Want more? I did a pretty thorough search during the pre-sale and these are the other pieces that caught my eye. It’s a great time to buy good leggings, bras, jeans and shoes.
