Well, that was a nice break–from blogging, from posting to social media on a regular basis, from real life. . . My husband and I even snuck in a weekend trip to Aruba (thanks to the Marriott resort and my parents who watched the kids!), and we got home the night before the twins started kindergarten. So here I am. All five kids in school and 124 projects I want to start at one time. I wonder if I’ll ever get to the point of sitting and eating bonbons. I’m not seeing that in my immediate future. . .
A few of the good things I discovered during August:
I have officially deemed these my “happy pants”. The softest, most comfortable sleep pants I’ve owned–and you can totally get away with wearing them to school drop off. I just ordered a second pair because it makes me sad when mine are in the laundry.
I don’t read a ton of nonfiction but I loved this book. The small things really are the big things.
Adding this to our living room because who doesn’t want a head planter?! Extra discount codes available through tonight.
And, my pagoda mirror is also on sale with an extra 20 and 10% off through tonight. . .
This is a great H&M collaboration with lots of pretty prints. I ordered this dress and it looks polished but feels like you’re wearing a muumuu. Who could ask for more, really?
I’ve found some super cute shoes from here lately. (Check out these and these.) Today, they’re offering extra Labor Day (extended) weekend discounts.
This one is random, but I have a 13-almost-14-year-old boy who is allergic to any pants that don’t have an elastic waistband (mentally allergic, not literally allergic 🙄) and maybe you do, too. We ordered these shorts from Amazon Essentials (for school)–men’s sizes and the price is right.
If you’re jumping on the hoop trend, I’ve been wearing these a lot.
I’ve had this song on repeat. Love the words. We can’t mess up too badly, and that’s a really good thing.
Glad you all were able to go to Aruba and get that weekend away!
Oh yay! Glad you got an end-of-summer trip with your husband. My boys only want soft and stretchy pants too. I feel your pain on that. We homeschool so they can pretty much wear pajama pants everyday until sports practices every afternoon. Getting dressed for church on Weds. and Sun. causes lots of grumbling about wearing real pants and not athletic clothes. 🙄 Can’t say I blame them though!
Your “Good Things” posts are thee best! I always end up purchasing something that you suggest :) I’ve got the earrings in my Target cart and love those joggers!
With love and gratitude from Iowa ♥
Thank you, Teresa! So glad you enjoy it. :)
I’ve just ordered a pair of those black pants for sleeping and several more sets as well—thanks for the recommendation for them. I would never have thought of using them that way. Also, my husband and I just listened to Teuren Wells music video that you shared and loved it! I’ve never heard of him or that song which, as you said, is so very encouraging and uplifting, too.
So glad you liked the song. I’m wearing my pants now :)
