The Saturday 6

April 14, 2018 11 Comments

ONE.  Lots to soak up in the designer’s portfolio.

TWO.  If you’ve ever dreamed of an outdoor kitchen. . .

THREE.  Inside the homes of the Trading Spaces’ designers. (Did you all watch last weekend? Fill me in.)

FOUR.  This is a neat project. Turning part of a garage into a butler’s pantry.

FIVE.  Thanks to The Washington Post for including my thoughts about faux flowers in this article. (I’m for them, by the way.)

One Kings Lane warehouse sale

SIX.  One Kings Lane fans: a big warehouse moving sale is happening now.

I loved the Washington Post article. Especially the part about, “I have 5 kids to feed and water.”
    LOL!!!! Loved it!

Hello. My name is Mary & I was a faux flower/plant snob. But not anymore! I have a combination of fresh & faux. When my company sees the fresh items, they assume the rest are also fresh. Ha! Jokes on them!
I’ve come to realize I’m not Oprah & can’t afford to throw out dead plants & flowers all the time.

Lately I find myself wanting to buy fake plants after being anti-fake for years. I realized that they are not really out of style anymore because there are real looking plants available now. Plus I can avoid the bugs and mold that sometimes come with the real ones. I tried watching the Trading Spaces show last week and was bored. It was fun to see their faces again, though.

Thanks always! I too love your Saturday 6. I’m going to rethink faux plants. Thanks for “giving us permission” to have them. 😊

Love the way we can use faux flowers and greenery now. I use them judiciously in our home and feel like they add a lot of character and fun. I am free to travel and return without thinking of keeping them alive. :)

I have successfully killed 3 orchids, so I totally agree with going faux! Where did you find the beautiful one you have in the picture, if you don’t mind me asking?

I ordered it from One Kings Lane a couple of years ago. It’s made by the French Bee.
