Christmas Snapshots Around Our House

December 6, 2017

A few iPhone snapshots of our house at Christmas time. You’ll just have to imagine the good smells and Christmas music in the background. . .

Black & White Colonial Christmas House

Christmas in the Carolinas = green grass and 68 degree days. We tried to step up our outdoor decorating this year. I feel like our house requires wreaths on the windows. . . (We used command hooks to hang them, btw.)

Elf on the Shelf

I was hoping he might get stuck there. We weren’t that lucky. . .

Christmas flowers

My other purchase from the Hearth & Home collection was this candle holder. The flowers were a gift from my friend Carey.

This is the new rug I recently posted about on my Instagram stories. (We moved the Pottery Barn one to the office/dining room–see below.) So far, so good. It’s thicker than the other one and I like the pattern it adds to the room.

Here’s a few shots from our house at Christmas last year–and our last home, from a few years ago.

I believe that Emily painted that herself – you should search her site for the explanation.

You have the perfect house for wreaths in the windows! I love your simplistic style. Holiday decorating can get so cluttered. The small touches around your home are beautiful.
