The fact that my October “good things” post is going up on November 7th attests to how fast life moves at this time of the year. Tis the season! And speaking of holidays, this is a Fall bouquet designed by my friend Carey because I need a little November in my life–and Instagram feed. I just cannot put my tree up before Thanksgiving. I think I’ll start a campaign to bring back November. It’s a good month. We should savor it without skipping ahead.
A few more good things. . .
Have you seen this new line of clothing? I love it. I bought this shirt in two colors and this (not-clingy) sweater dress.
Thanks for all of your suggestions on a blender replacement on my Instagram stories. I just couldn’t justify the cost of the Vitamix so I bought this one instead. So far, so good! I can already tell it’s so much better than the cheapy I had before.
Lots of great gift options from this Etsy bag shop.
This is my favorite book I’ve finished lately. It’s by the same author of The Paris Wife, which I also loved.
If you’ve been too scared to try statement earrings, here’s the “statement stud”. I have them in teal and it’s an easy way to dress up a black outfit.
I love these candles and this one smells soooo good. I’ve bought two for gifts in the last month.
My new favorite (inexpensive) eyebrow pencil.
My parents have been telling me I should watch this show for the last month and I finally did over the weekend. Wow. My new favorite. I promise you’ll love it but you may want to have some tissues handy.
The best booties. They also come in kid sizes.
Eucalyptus garland would be so pretty as a runner for the Thanksgiving table–and then on a Christmas mantel.
I love that song!! And I am SO WITH YOU on too early for the Christmas stuff. The first blog tour (Christmas) was on my blog roll this morning. November gets skipped over – and that’s sad. Love that bouquet!
I’m so glad I️ read this because I️ almost caved to Instagram pressure and put out Christmas decorations. I️ have never done that before Thanksgiving and your post was just the encouragement I️ needed. Thank you!
The Rewined candle – Wine under the Tree is the best!! I haven’t tried Spiked Cider but I will, thx!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I hate how some people just bypass it just to put up their Christmas decorations and then get sick of them and put them all away the day after Christmas.
I agree with you about savouring November for the great month it is!
Also, can’t wait to read that book! Thanks for the great post. : )
I love Rewined candles. My very favorite is Wine under the Tree, though it is a Christmas scent, I love it year round. Will have to try Spiked Cider, sounds wonderful.
Circling the Sun is my book club’s read this month! I do love this author so I look forward to it.
I am one of those rare people who is sick of Christmas before it even gets here because of all of the hype that starts so far ahead of time. Over the years, I have done better at turning a blind eye to all of the craziness until it’s the middle of December. I love November and Thanksgiving! Thanks for the post and all of the “good things”!
The candle price is a little expensive, is it really worth it? I do love a good smelling candle!
I read that book and loved it! Such a fascinating time.
Love your list AND November! This post was a much-needed pick-me-up today. :) Thanks, Emily!
I love the show, Long Lost Family! It rings dear to my heart in that my family recently found my nephew who was given up for adoption 48 years ago.
Hi Emily! Yes! I am totally with you on poor November getting skipped over. It’s not fair! I refuse to play Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving and I think Thanksgiving gets ignored and I love to enjoy it. Also, I have watched every episode of Long Lost Family and they are all so amazing. Always have tissues at the ready. I will have to check out the book you recommended…looks interesting. Finally, I love Lauren Daigle! Her voice is amazing and deep and her words are so beautiful. Hugs from Colorado!
Could not agree more about decorations. It’s too early for Christmas. I love enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with pumpkins and shades of browns and oranges. Then we bust out the tree on Friday, stay in pj’s, decorate the house and eat leftovers. :)
Thanks for all of the other great recommendations.
I’m totally on board for #bringbackNovember!! Seems like the Christmas mania starts earlier and earlier each year!
Oh, my word. Thank you for the recommendation of Long Lost Family. I’m only on episode 2 of Season 1, but…wow. Even without mentioning word one about God, it’s full of redemption, running over with grace. I needed a pick-me-up instead of the usual tv fare, and this fits the bill!
Isn’t it great?! So glad you enjoyed it.
refreshing…let’s keep November–and use it to envision, and prepare for December ; )
