ONE. This cozy study has me thinking about adding a decorative trim around the top of my own black office.
TWO. A simple and pretty Fall home tour (plus links to lots of others).
THREE. If you like this designer’s work as much as I do, you can also shop her Chairish sale.
FOUR. A small 1950s kitchen gets a big makeover. (Check out the light wood + dark green combo.)
FIVE. If I’m honest, I rarely watch Fixer Upper, but I really admire Chip and Joanna as people. This made me like them even more. How hard would it be to walk away from something so big??
SIX. If you’re in the market for lighting, Joss & Main has some great options on sale this weekend.
i totally felt the same about chip and joanna… i don’t watch fixer upper, but my 10 year old is a HUGE fan and has seen almost every episode. i personally felt like everywhere i turned i was seeing more products they were selling…. magazines, furniture lines, etc and i was wondering when enough was enough because they have a family to spend time with. so i was thrilled to see them taking that time. :)
Lovely links today, thank you!
I just wanted to say Emily, I love your take on things, From you honest book reviews, to your choice of color, your opinions and even your artwork. It seams everyone gets on the current band wagon, (boring white, which I do like, but I enjoy color too) while you put a classic twist to it. I enjoy your blog very much because it inspires me to be me, not conform to what everyone else is doing.
Thank you, Dawn. So glad you enjoy the blog :)
Thank you for sharing my fall tour Emily! I agree with you about Chip and Joanna. I admire their conviction to their values. That’s something that never seemed to waiver despite all their success.
I totally agree with you Dawn. When I come on Emily’s blog, I don’t dive down the comparison rabbit hole. I just get more confident to stand in my own style. That is such a wonderful gift Emily. You have had such a positive impact on my individual style.
Jody–such a nice thing to say. Thank you!! That’s what makes me want to keep doing this.
