Design is in the details, and I love studying photos and grabbing a simple idea or two to tuck away for later. Here are three great looks and the decorating details that caught my eye.

A couple of woven ottomans tucked under an acrylic coffee table is not only extra functional but works great visually to keep things from feeling too heavy.

If you’re lucky enough to have tall ceilings, you might not want to neglect the extra space above a door (or two) for hanging art. (Of course, you might not want this to be the most slammed door in your house. I really like Monkey Hooks for extra secure hanging.)

You may have already have the mirror you need without buying a larger one. If it’s on the small side, try adding stacked frames on either side and accessorizing underneath. Stacked books are a great filler for any vignette that needs a little “oomph.”
These are great ideas. Thanks for the tips, Emily.
Love these tips!
Great post. I agree on all three!
I simply love that idea of tucking ottomans under an acrylic table. The mix of styles there combines perfectly, and it looks super cool. Love it!
Great ideas and so inspiring :) Lovely photos
Love the rug! Do you mind sharing who makes it?
