Sharing a few favorite things from the crazy month that is May:
ONE- New pillows from Target. The Summer stuff for home that Target has been putting out lately is pretty great. I just added these black and white tassel pillows to our living room, but there are so many good ones. Love the textures.
TWO- I’ve been messing around with styling our kitchen countertops and am happy (for a minute) with this combination. I used a Janet Hill print, this topiary and a blue and white planter (similar).
THREE- These earrings were technically my Mother’s Day gift (to myself). I’ve been wearing them almost every day (that I put on real clothes). They work with everything.
FOUR- I’m not sure if I’ve ordered a dress from Amazon before, but I got lucky with this one. So very comfortable for Summer and a great price. I’m tempted to order it in red, too. . .
FIVE- I finally got this book from my library’s waiting list and it was worth the wait. This would be a great one for a book club. It brings up a lot of discussions about racial prejudices and makes you think about how you might react in this really difficult situation. Plus, I love just about any story that revolves around courtroom drama.
SIX- This is my current favorite brand for everyday t-shirts. Soft and easy to wash (although I don’t put mine in the dryer).
SEVEN- I’ve been wearing this lip color on repeat. They call it an herbal lip balm but the color is more matte. I don’t find it to be drying, but sometimes I use gloss over it anyway.
EIGHT- You know you’re forty when a can opener makes your favorites list. . . It’s the little things—like having a can opener that works. This one is more heavy duty and easy to use. Can you tell I’ve had some battles with cruddy can openers lately?
NINE- I think this is the most fun doormat for Summer—and only $12. I need it for my side entry.
