You all know I love some chinoiserie-inspired art and have worked it in throughout our house. I’m drawn to the warm color palettes and how it mixes well with more modern furniture and accessories picks. A good decorating mix always comes from not using too much of one style.
I was second guessing my wallpaper decision in our breakfast nook until I added this art (moved from our powder room), but I think this was just what it needed to break it up a bit. And, if my husband had any thoughts about the decorative men on our walls, he didn’t mention it. And, that’s why we work. ;)
In case you’re looking to add a little chinoiserie chic to your home, I’ve pulled together some other favorites from one of my go-to sources for art.
Whether you’re looking for an original or a print, a framed piece, a vintage art book or something to download yourself, Etsy is an amazing source and I’ve always found the sellers I’ve worked with to be really on the ball and accommodating. Plus, you’re supporting small business owners which is always a good thing.

Wow, that looks great! I have a large Chinese Emperor poster in my living room. The colors are fantastic and I love it!
Can you give the information on your wallpaper? I love it!
It’s from Spoonflower–emerald green ikat.
I have a deep love for chinoiserie and think it’s a great mix with modern! Looks great with the wallpaper and I can’t believe you were questioning that gorgeous wall paper! So pretty! Have a great weekend!
These are great finds! I’m a lover of chinoiserie as well, and did something similar in out foyer with Chinese landscape prints found at a thrift store! Thanks for the great source list! xo, Elizabeth
I’d like to see a better view of the wall you have that pattern paper on.
Thanks for posting your finds! I’m looking for some scripture- or faith- based text prints – any recommendations for sources? Thanks!
Are you familiar with Joyful Papery on Etsy? She has pretty prints.
