Neutral But Patterned Rug Ideas

January 19, 2017

I’ve written several posts about how much I like the jute rug in our living room, but a natural fiber rug isn’t for everyone. If you are considering a neutral rug for your space but don’t want to go solid, I’ve pulled together some good options that will also give your room a subtle pattern.

PS—I’m throwing one more into the mix. I found this wool one on major sale after I finished my post. It might be worth checking out—especially if you’re looking for a large size or a runner option:

I would love a nuetral rug for my living room. But I’m concerned with it showing dirt. My husband is terrible at remembering to take off his shoes.

That’s why I have the jute one for now. It shows nothing, which is a good thing for us…

That last one is super tempting price wise. I really wish there were some reviews. Area rugs are hard for me – maybe because I’m always changing my mind, without the budget to support my fickleness.

Those are some really great options! Thanks to you, I was able to buy a carpet similar to the first one at Doris Leslie Blau. Have you ever heard of them? They have such a marvelous collection of antique and vintage carpets! I wish I could buy them all :)

Love the pair of chairs with the rug. Who makes the chairs?
