I’m back—and stuck to the promise I made to myself to stay away from my computer until 2017. To be honest, it was kind of glorious. You all survived, too—right? ;) I didn’t check Instagram every hour. I didn’t post to Facebook. And, I didn’t read a single blog. I did watch a lot of episodes of The Office (good for the soul!), spent a week with my parents and finished two books.
As I continue to think about what I want my blog to look like in the coming year, I wanted to first share a few of my favorite highlights and loves from 2016.

Happy new year! Now, it’s back to work.

Yes…this is us…counting the days until it comes back on. I will Toby to be okay…ill be devastated if not!
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn remains one of my favorite books of all time. Happy New Year and Happy (belated) Birthday. You are gonna love your 40’s.
I really hope Toby is ok too! That incident had me very stressed for a little while after the show ended! :(
Congrats on another great year! I love your blog and ready it daily.
Yes, I survived without you. Barely! Lol.
After reading this post, I’ve come to realize how much you have influenced me. My new mantra should be “What Would Emily Do?”.
That could get you into trouble ;)
Me too (about Toby) !! Love your blog-it is a daily read.
Welcome Back! Glad you had a nice break. I saw these over the break and immediately thought of you and your tree in the kitchen…http://enchantedhome.com/product-category/shop-holiday/
Can’t wait to see what you have planned for 2017. I hope you find the balance you desire.
I’m glad you enjoyed your well deserved blogging/internet break. And we did survive but you know I’m addicted to the Saturday Six :) I did miss it!
