Vicki’s living room is already pretty as is, but her entry (or lack thereof) had her stumped. I wouldn’t take a single thing away from this room, but there are a few things I would add. . .
Putting any kind of piece of furniture there would probably feel a little crowded, so I’d hang a few pieces of art to fill the wall visually. I really like how the black coffee table adds some weight to this all-neutral room and would use more touches of black in the frames. A small gold bracket shelf could be added to the arrangement to function as a place to set keys, a small bowl, etc., if Vicki needs this spot to actually function as an entry.

Here’s another shot of the room showing her pretty (red!) door open. The bracket shelf would clear the door just right.
Vicki also asked me if I had any other suggestions for the room, so I found a few accessories that would help add some warmth and depth to the space.
lamp // black pillow // lumbar pillow // synthetic hide rug // orchid

Love your choices. The branch shelf is perfect and elevates the design, surrounded with unique art. So much interest in those art combinations. That took a lot of time on your part, Emily. The artist’s eye at work.

Thank you, Cheryl. Art is almost impossible to choose for someone else, but hopefully my vision will help ;)

What a pretty room! Love your choices! I always think a second eye is always helpful so I live this series!!
My neighbor has the exact same situation. We rotated her couch so the back was to the door and it floated in the room. She then put a skinny sofa table behind which doubled as an entry table. It made the entry feel much more like an entry. I love the art behind the door.
Yes I like that idea. I thought maybe a folding screen by the side of the sofa ,again to create an entry way
Love this series! It is always inspiring:)
Love this series! More please.
I love this room! Vicki has great taste and that coffee table is amazing. I love the height of it. The black touches are wonderful and will really give her room a little mascara! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Some great ideas there! Lamps and throw pillows can light up a room ;)
I really like the idea of adding a small shelf along with the artwork. Sometimes a bigger shelf for a drop zone just ends up collecting clutter. My living room is looking a little blah so I took note of your other suggestions as well. Thanks!
I love that you put something with dimension on the gallery wall. And plants always add so much life to a room.
I also love your choices. Wonderful solution and suggestions!
If this is series, please do more.
