While I was in NYC, I visited the beautiful studio at One Kings Lane. And, of course, I took lots of pictures for you guys.
I believe one of the reasons for their success is the beautiful styling. You can look at inspiration boards all day long but knowing how to actually use a piece in your home is a different story. I’ve already been rethinking a few things around our house since my visit.
Want to get the “OKL look”? I noticed a few trends repeated throughout the studio:
-
Layered rugs (vintage, natural, hides)
-
Indigo (lots of deep blues in rich textures)
-
Tribal inspired pillows and artwork
-
Blue and white jars (a classic, for sure!)
-
Animal prints (leopard stools, a cowhide ottoman, zebra chairs)
-
Boxwoods (simple, clean and classic)
Oh how I wish I had this talent for styling a space! It is truly inspiring. I think a dash of green (plants) is just what my sunroom is lacking. The green in this neutral space just wakes it up a bit. Thank you for sharing!
great photo-share! love those leapard stools but would need two for balance. Indigo is a keeper, a classic. And the layering of rugs I adore, esp on sisal rug to give some pattern and softness.
I’ve been trying to incorporate more blue in my upstairs living room. My gray couch is almost identical to this one, the pillows with the rugs would be a perfect addition! That store is crazy good! I hope you had a fun time!
So beautiful! Glad you had a nice trip!
Wow! Love so much of it! Love your shoes too! Can you tell me about them. 😉
They’re my favorite flats of the moment. The brand is Mia. Found them at Nordstrom Rack.
Thank you!!
That tufted velvet sofa and the marble coffee table in front of it are just yummy!
That perfect silver (pewter??) bowl with the boxwood!! So perfect!! Wish I could find a bowl like that on their site! It is OF COURSE the perfect all the time dining room centerpiece I never knew I always needed!!
Oh my! You lucky duck. You had to have had a great time. Thanks for the tour.
Love the rope covered table but couldn’t find on their website. Do you know what they call it? Thanks!
