We soaked up every last minute of Summer vacation at the beach this weekend, and this morning, it’s back at it. I sent this one off to middle school today. And, I watched my 2nd grader sleep through the alarm (that she insisted on setting) for a solid ten minutes. We’ll get there. . .
My husband read this letter to our big kids last night. You may have already seen it, but it’s a great reminder for us all—school kids and big people alike. A little kindness can go a long way—in the classroom, at the office, online. . .
We’re off to buy “preschool supplies” today. The twins could not be more excited to go to Target to buy hand sanitizer and glue sticks. ;) Happy day!

Those children in the picture cannot be yours! They are just too big! Time flies!
I agree! Much too big :(
All of your kids will be in school at the same time? That will be a shock to your system.
Not quite…. The twins will do preschool a few days a week, though!
Emily, Even though I’m not a blogger myself, I have been a regular reader of yours for quite a long time. I don’t “comment” often, and I’m not very “techno savy”but I quietly enjoy your posts. This morning I clicked on the link to the letter you mentioned your husband had read to your children. I can’t tell you the impact it had on me. I felt so incredibly moved. This feeling stayed with me all day. I just couldn’t let it go. I copied the letter, changed the name, and presented it to my 13 year old daughter when she arrived home from school. Her eyes teared up as she read it, and it opened up some amazing conversation between us. I simply wanted to say – thank you for sharing.
I’m so glad. I thought it was the sweetest letter. Exactly what I want my kids to think about as they head out the door every morning.
