Styling Our Bedroom Dresser

June 14, 2016

With all of the thought that goes into making your bed look pretty, somehow the bedroom dresser often becomes the dumping ground for clutter—and dust. (Or is that just here?) But, it’s actually the perfect place to mix pretty and personal pieces so that you have something happy to look at when you wake up in the mornings.

In this week’s video for Wayfair’s YouTube channel, I’m sharing my best tips for dresser styling. (It’s all about layering—and a big statement mirror never hurts.)

Why my hair looks like I just got into a fight with an alley cat, I have no idea. . .

Emily, that link doesn’t seem to work. Maybe it’s just me though. A certain little person did spill a glass of water on my phone….

Who knew Wayfair carried such gorgeous art! I’m in love with both pieces you chose. Gorgeous styling and so much nicer than the stray Legos (??) and layer of dust I’m looking at right now :)

Thanks! It looks great! I especially like the leaf/fruit abstract.

I tried both links to view the video & they aren’t working. Is it my IPad? Is anyone else reporting a problem?

Do you know where I can purchase a similar (or the same) dresser? It is beautiful.

I am so happy you did this topic. I am always struggling to make mine look good and trying to stop husband from dumping his dirty sock and paper receipts there. I used to have a mirror on it but then heard it was bad feng shui to have a mirror facing the bed so I took it down in a hope to have hubby sleep better. What can I put there instead of a mirror?

I am thinking about ordering the mirror, but several of the reviews said it was heavy and tricky to hang?
    Was that your experience?
    Thank you.

It’s heavy, but I hung it all by myself–if that tells you anything :) I didn’t think it was tricky; I just used a really big nail. (And, I even downloaded a stud finder app on my phone first. Impressed?? Ha!)

    Emily!
This is a huge struggle point in my home! My bedroom dresser, and we have a T.V. on ours :( Great post!

Jessica–I’ve decided to put a TV on our dresser since this post, too. I just really need one :) A post coming soon with an update once I figure out what I’m doing for sure…

Emily, did you post an update on your dresser with a TV on it? This is my current struggle and could use some ideas!
