A Writing Desk + Big Abstract Art

June 1, 2016

When I posted about the girls’ window shades a couple of weeks ago, I got several questions about this little corner. The desk serves as her nightstand and the art above gave us a lot of color inspiration for her room. (You may remember that it used to hang in our entryway.)

(Her bedding is from Ballard Designs.)

The abstract is 40 x 50 (the largest canvas size available on Lindsay’s site). I love the idea of giving them each one big piece to take with them and use in their own homes someday. . .

Did you have the canvas framed separately? I love how that looks and have a few art canvases that could use a polished detail like that. It looks like it is floating in the frame.

It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure it was the gallery gold frame.

That is a good idea, giving them a piece of art to go with them as they go. Very Downton Abbey.. :)

Thank you for this information. I have been looking for some large abstract art pieces and her work is really nice.

What a sweet, pretty work space. I’m trying to come up with a small “home office” for me and as always, I’m inspired by your post :-)

I love that artwork and the idea of taking it with them someday.

On a different note, I think it’s time for a kitchen update!!!!!!

I am so in love with this desk! I’m in the middle of remodeling my home office and this would be perfect. And with some gold accents it would look incredible! I’m so excited. Thanks for the inspiration!
