Swing Arm Wall Lamps Under $150

April 14, 2016 11 Comments

I’m a sucker for a good swing arm wall lamp. So, I guess it’s a good thing they seem to be popping up in way more places than over bedside tables. Before you buy another overhead light for your hallway, a table lamp for your dining room buffet, or even a pendant above your dining table, you may want to consider a swing arm sconce instead:

I shopped online for a while before landing on ones for our kitchen. (I’ll share more about the lighting next week.) For now, here are some of my finds—all under $150:

    Hi Emily,
I actually have purchased 2 each of #2. I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer but it isn’t very good quality. It doesn’t swing side-to-side. It only moves up or down at the joints. And it’s range of motion is limited.
It was fine for where I wanted to use them. I had no plans of moving/swinging them once they were in place. I was willing to settle for the lack of quality in order to get the good price.
I just thought you & your readers should know.

Have you seen Target’s great new wall sconces? http://www.target.com/p/crosby-collection-swing-arm-sconce/-/A-50478760#prodSlot=medium_1_1

I just saw them the other day in the store, and they’re great looking in person. The pendant is also cute.

I’ve been looking for relatively inexpensive plug-in sconces for my dining room, but keep coming up short. Now I’m wondering if it’s even a good look or not, since apparently there’s not much demand for them. I’d love to hear any thoughts you have on the subject. :)

I love the Amazon ones (#2). I bought too and would agree with the description that Mary gave, but for the price I paid I am THRILLED. I have them in my 4 year old’s room, and they look great. Exactly what I need for a quarter of the price (or more!) of other options. I bought them because you recommended them years ago, Emily, and I thank you for doing so. Love your blog!

YAY!!! I could cry! This is perfect timing as I am looking for the sunroom! The ones I really wanted are from RH, but are like $250 each. Still might pull the trigger but these might be worth ordering first and sending back if the scale isn’t right.
