I’m back from my whirlwind trip to Utah where we gave the Brown family a Spring patio makeover, thanks to Lowe’s Home Improvement. It was the first time Katie or I had been there, and we were in awe. We drove around the first day yelling, “Look at that!” at each mountain and possibly breaking out into the chorus of “Majesty” over and over again. Such a beautiful state!
Lowe’s sent out a team of volunteers, including the manager from the local Orem store, and they were amazing! I could get a ton done around my own house if I could just have this group come over for a few hours. . .
I used “City Chartreuse” by Valspar on her door and as an accent color.
And, her patio may have needed some help, but how cute is the inside of Jamie’s house? I might have snapped a few pictures when I went inside to use her restroom. . .
The patio is being photographed in the next couple of weeks, and I cannot wait to see (and show you!) the pictures. A big thanks to Jamie and her family for being such good sports and so welcoming to these two Southern girls.
This is gonna be good! I know it.
A girl after my own heart…I like to walk around at dusk and look in people’s windows. Thanks for everything!
whaaat? lol
It looks as if you designed the inside of her house as well! No wonder they matched you two up! ~Kim
Looking forward to the big reveal. Looking at the couple of photos you took of Jamie’s home interior, I can’t help but think her style is similar to yours. I see recurring themes so I’m sure the patio you designed would be one she will love for years
I am anxious to see the patio reveal.
I would also love to hear about her dining room curtains and botanical art. ;)
Love it! One of the first things that caught my eye was the painted concrete steps. What kind of pain was used? I need to replicate this.
How exciting!! I know it will be amazing. I love the painted steps and the colors you chose! I have never been to Utah and it looks gorgeous!
Can’t wait to the finished project!
Utah is a Beautiful state and I am glad you got to come see our majestic snowcapped mountains.
Wow how fun!
Any update on when the patio reveal will happen? I’m eager to see it!
There were a few delays, but it’s actually being photographed this morning! (Weather permitting…)
