Ready-To-Print Gallery Wall: Fern Botanicals

March 15, 2016 18 Comments

I love botanical prints. They’re such a pretty way to bring in a little green—especially when they’re free. Here’s an easy gallery wall idea. Imagine this grouping above a sofa, a headboard or over your dining room buffet. All of the images can be downloaded from this site—one of my favorite sources for free artwork.

PS—I’m also a big fan of the inexpensive frames I wrote about here.

Thank you so much for the resource! Would someone explain the best way to print or have these printed with high resolution and good color? Thank you!!!

Hi Deanna–If you’re not printing tons, I sometimes just use my own printer and use cardstock. You can also save them at hi-res size and take them to a Staples or Kinko’s. Also, I haven’t done this, but I wonder about just uploading them as a photo to a site like MPix or Shutterfly and having them printed in a matte finish. Anyone tried this?

Hi Emily – Thanks for posting these botanicals.
I was wondering if printing on a linen paper might make them feel more authentic as it wouldn’t be quite so stark as a white paper.

I usually print my quicky art (those that I tend to change frequently) in hi-res (300 ppi) at Staples using light weight white cardstock, which is matte. The quality is decent. It’s under $1/ copy, can’t go wrong with that =)

        Hi there,
I just tried downloading the prints at 300ppi and took them to Kinkos to print on 8×10 paper but they were really blurry at that size.
        Any suggestions?

        Thanks so much

Excellent resource! I’ve been looking for printable botanicals. I live abroad in Saudi Arabia and this is an affordable, convenient (and beautiful) option for me. Thanks!

This reminds me of the main character’s dining room from The Good Wife. I’ve always loved it!
