Recently, a few of you asked about how to mix different shades of white. In our own homes, it’s easy for us to get caught up in the smallest details. But, when we look at images of rooms we love, we’re usually impressed by the space as a whole.
Looks easy, right? Here’s a little formula and my tips for mixing up your whites in the same room:
Layering neutrals gives your rooms depth. (This is the difference between a white room feeling cozy or feeling sterile.) Once you have your white layers in place, a touch of black grounds the room. Textural elements add warmth, and a little green adds some life.
Don’t over think it! You’re going for an overall look, not trying to match up one of two small elements.
