Give me a couple of 65 degree days in a row, and I officially have Spring fever. Apparently, my friends at Lowe’s Home Improvement do, too. I’m excited to announce that we are accepting applications to help refresh one reader’s space this Spring.
Have a specific spot in mind? I am so excited about the idea of working with (and meeting!) one of you to make over a space. To be considered for a Spring makeover project, you’ll need to fill out an online application here.
But first, please make sure you meet these eligibility requirements:
-
Are interested in fixing up a space within your residence.
-
Have a makeover project that can be completed within 24 hours.
-
Must be the owner of your home.
-
Should be outgoing, energetic and fun with unique stories to tell.
-
Should be comfortable on camera and/or interviewed by media.
-
Are in need of expert design help from one participating blogger.
-
Should be able to make quick decisions in order to keep tight timelines.
-
Must be available for a 2-day period to complete project (between 2/9 and 5/1/2016).
-
Willing to allow photos of your home to be shared online.
-
Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
To be considered, you must agree to the Terms and complete the online application (today through 11:59pm ET Wednesday, Feb. 10th). We will only contact eligible participants.
I can hardly wait to get started!

Oh what an amazing opportunity! Fingers crossed my laundry room makes the cut!
I totally applied. You and I are going to have so much fun lol
Dearest Lowe’s friends: Pick me! Pick me! My small backyard is in dire need of some love and attention, and we totally need Emily’s expertise! Can’t wait to apply!
I just finished my application for our bonus room. What an amazing opportunity!
Is this contest available in the US only or is it for Canada as well?
Thanks!
I believe it’s only for US residents, but I’ll verify.
We would love to have you help with our living room. Just applied as well! What a great opportunity.
I applied for my three boy’s bathroom. Hope that doesn’t scare you off! LOL.
I’m sure I’ve seen worse…. in my own house! :)
This would be a dream come true….just to meet you and talk design with you! Does a patio qualify?
Yes! Outdoor spaces welcome!
I just finished my application & submitted it! Oh I NEVER sign up for things like this. Even when you and other bloggers have giveaways, I don’t bother to apply. But this would be SUCH a pleasure and a great experience for our whole family! Tuesday nights are HGTV Fixer Upper family watching night here and even my 9 yo & 5 yo boys love it! So obviously the entire family would be dazzled and THRILLED with this!
The most exciting part for me would be meeting you! I hope & pray we win this spring makeover!!!!
Very sweet, thank you :) Glad you applied.
I just applied for my kitchen. it said projects must be able to be completed in 24 hours. I am unsure if tile work or countertops would be in that category? Do you know, Emily?
I would die and go to heaven if I got picked!
I think it’ll be focusing more on “refresh” projects rather than full room overhauls. Hope that helps!
Can I apply again with a different room that is more simple?
Hi, I think it’s okay to submit multiple rooms.
I just saw your comment about a refresh vs. total overhaul?! I may resubmit my application and change from Master Bathroom to an outdoor deck update!
You and I have such similar tastes – blue, green and brass!! I am 100% confident you would make a space we love without any input from me!
Trying to complete my application, but cannot get my photos to load. Is there a trick I may be missing?? Thanks!!
Susan, I’ll forward your comment to my Lowe’s contact. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks, Emily. It may have been my computer – it was as if the entire thing froze up; however, I manually shut the computer down, tried again, and it was successful!! Thanks for your quick response, though!!
Just the thought of this makes my day. I am currently head under water just looking at the master in our new house. We bought our house in August and I am still nowhere!
How exciting! I completed the application and sure hope my choice of our laundry/Pantry/doggy bedroom doesn’t seem too boring. It would be so amazing to have you help us make the most of this small but hard working space that I want to be functional but pleasing to look at as well because it’s so visible from our kitchen and we spend some much time in there.
What an amazing opportunity that you and Lowe’s are extending! My husband built a back deck last summer but we’ve done nothing with it yet . . . and already I’m imagining how cute you could help us make it by just adding a little landscaping, planter boxes and furniture! I know whatever spaces are chosen will be amazing and inspiring for all of us and I can’t wait to follow along.
Well, oh my goodness. Emily A. Clark in my house?! How fun would THAT be?! We could drink coffee and talk about design, Jesus and The Bachelor. In no particular order. And oh yeah…you would probably need to work your magic while you were here, too. :) We have gutted almost our entire house over the last five years. BUT. There are still a few options. Can we enter more than one space?
Yes, I think more than one submission is fine! And, it sounds like the two of us would possibly get nothing done but have a good time anyway :)
HA! I agree. Okay, well off to figure out which projects to submit!
I just applied! Such a fun opportunity and our outdoor deck is definitely in need of some help! I have followed your blog for so many years. I would love to have a chance to meet you!
I’ve entered three of my spaces! I’m so excited I can hardly stand it! What a fabulous opportunity. I hope one of my spaces looks interesting to you and that we could work together to make it better.
Oooohhhh!!!! What a chance to meet you, Emily!
I just got home from work, and saw your post, so applied quickly! I need help in my TV room, and know you would be just the person to help out along with Lowe’s. :) I have been following your blog for years and thought to submit pictures to you of my “troubled room.” Your design style and life philosphies just speak to me!
Thank you, Christina :)
I tried to apply just a while ago, but it wouldn’t go past the application page! :( Had the photos loaded and my heart all spilled out there and everything. Think there’s someone at Lowe’s I could contact in the morning? This is such a fun giveaway! Good luck to everyone!
Susan, I’m sorry! I’m not sure, but email me and I’ll forward it to them, just in case.
Your post says you must apply by Feb 10th which was yesterday. Can I email you my application?
UGH…I MISSED THE DEADLINE! MY SCREENED PORCH NEEDS A MAJOR REDO.
Oh muah goodness!! What an exciting opportunity! Emily, you are my design girl crush! I would be so honored to work along side you on our outside partially enclosed patio!! Fingers crossed!!
Oh what a joy it would be to meet you and have my pool and patios refreshed!!! Hoping I’m the one and so is the rest of my family!!!
Robin
So sad I missed this opportunity! I have been at the hospital with my husband, who had surgery. I have a screened in porch that is just plain sad and I live just east of Charlotte. It has been ignored since we built our home 3 years ago! I hope you do this again next spring and I get to apply then!
have they announced a winner yet? If so, they haven’t contacted me! ;)
Not yet!
