A new build with an old soul in Franklin, Tennessee.
Eight movies that are better than their books.
Campaign hardware from Young House Love for The Home Depot.
(Thanks to Sarah for the tip on this one!)
Not sure what to buy? Check out J. Crew’s “The Always List”.
And, one more portfolio. Loved going through this one!
Happy Saturday, Emily.
Thanks for the 6. Since I don’t have any snow to shovel this weekend, I can sit back & take in all of this goodness.
To those in the East…stay warm & stay safe.
You always find the best things to share on the Saturday 6! I look forward to this first thing each weekend. It is usually savored while still in PJ’s with that first cup of coffee.:)
Always a fun post – especially as I sit here relaxing while the snow is falling outside. Over a foot already here in NJ! I love that Country Living house! I recently bought that issue of the magazine and was drooling over every photo. I need to resubscribe to that one! I have to catch up on some movies – maybe even later today… and that portfolio is gorgeous! Enjoy your weekend!

Oh my goodness, that first link is absolute perfection! The “rosemary” paint color on their son’s bed made me instantly think of Erika Powell. :)
I’d love to see you post on how to successfully mix whites- for instance, I have the same Ikea white slipcovered chairs as you do but then I also have a lot of off whites in the room. Sometimes I think the chairs make anything else seem dingy in color. But the house in the first link seemed to effortlessly mix whites!
I second that request.
Thank you so much for including our Brooklyn apartment in your ‘Saturday 6’! Such a fun post to be a part of!

Thanks Emily! I loved all your suggestions!
I have been reading your blog for years and I admire how you combine design with kid-friendly options.

Hi! I just found your blog via Driven by Décor. Love it. I have a serious question regarding the last photo from the second portfolio you shared in the post. I love the lamp behind the sofa look and would love to attempt it but I have nowhere close to plug the lamps. Is there a secret to this? Or, are folks just lucky enough to have plugs in the right place where people wont trip over them?
In the past, I’ve just run an extension cord under and around the edge of a rug if there hasn’t been a floor outlet. It’s not ideal, but it works!
