While I wish you could all come sit on our saggy couch and drink coffee with me, I’ll just invite you to take a quick look at the Christmas decorating I did in our living room, instead. I didn’t go overboard, but that’s kind of become my favorite way to decorate for the holidays.
My favorite new addition—that has nothing to do with Christmas—is this colorful abstract (called “Pink Fields”) from ShopTen25. I don’t have tons of space over the mantel, so just going with one horizontal piece of art worked great. And, it brings in lots of colors I would normally never use, but with just enough blue so that it makes sense in the room. I like the idea of every room having one unexpected “something”, don’t you?
I had to go to three different Targets to come up with enough striped green stockings. But, I was determined. I’m so happy to finally get rid of our mismatched assortment from the dollar store. :)
The words are metal ornaments I’ve had forever. I think they’re more fun as bookshelf accessories.
