This year, I convinced my kids that hanging all of their ornaments on a smaller tree in the living room was a great idea, which meant I got the Christmas tree in our little sitting room all to myself. I used the flocked one that was on our patio last year and decided to go with a (mostly) white theme against the black walls.
(The chest is visiting from our bedroom—maybe permanently.)
I already had a few smaller stars, so I just went with it. I added several of these big, paper stars this year. They’re inexpensive and easy to fold up and reuse. (The “small” stars are really big, by the way. That’s them on the tree. The larger size is on the mirror.)
You may have also noticed the lighting is different. It’s the (smaller) Knox frosted pendant from Shop Ten 25. We took out almost all of the chain links to make it work for our 8’ ceilings. I think it gives the perfect glow against the darker walls:

It looks amazing, Emily. Just love the contrast of the white tree against the dark walls, and your chandelier…stunning! Happy Tuesday!
It gorgeous. I love absolutely everything. How do you make everything sound so easy? Love your nativity scene by the way. Have been looking for one to fall in love with….
Thanks, Jody. I love that nativity set, too. I found it at a thrift store a few years ago.
I love it Emily! My parents have that same nativity scene! I grew up with it……and brings back wonderful memories. :-)
Love that room!! :)
So beautiful Emily.
You are my absolute favorite designer.
I sent your link to a designer I just met. :)

Your tree looks beautiful in your little room. I bet it will be sad to take it down after the holidays.
I dream of a Christmas tree that’s mine all mine. Beautiful job and your sitting room is so gorgeous. I’m amazed at how bright it still is. Enjoy relaxing in there when you can sneak away.
Such a beautiful room! I trust it invites the quiet, that we all attempt to listen for, in this most Holy season.
