When I was pregnant with our first baby and selling furniture, we made two big purchases with my employee discount: a baby crib and a mattress for our bed. Needless to say, nearly eleven years and five kids later, it was time to send one to storage and to get rid of the other.

I once attended a “mattress selling seminar”, and that’s actually what prompted our last mattress purchase. I’m still scarred by some of the things they told us and am a little grossed out that we haven’t replaced ours before now. But, who has time to mattress shop with five kids and soccer games every weekend?
Have you heard about Leesa mattresses? They reached out and asked if I would be willing to review one of them. (Yes! I’m itching now just thinking about the dust mites.) I knew it was on its way but was surprised when this box arrived at my door.
I’ll take front-door delivery any day over laying down awkwardly in a store.
I had already heard good things about these mattresses, but the UPS guy confirmed that they were great. He told me he bought his mom one for Christmas last year, and she loves it. He also warned me to open the box close to where I’ll be putting it, because I don’t want to drag a queen mattress through the house once it expands.
We opened the box in the room next to our bedroom, unrolled it and quickly transferred it to our bed. (Never a shortage of good help around here!)
We actually put the mattress on the bed and ran out the door to a ballgame (of course). In a little over an hour, we returned home to a normal size mattress—10 inches in depth (three foam layers in all, which includes two inches of memory foam and two inches of a cooling latex-like foam called Avena™).
Isn’t the striped design so much better than regular old mattresses?
We’ve had our new mattress for a couple of weeks now, and besides the fact that two three-year-olds regularly creep into our bed at 2am, we’re both sleeping great. (Leesa does give you a 100 nights—risk free—to try your mattress, btw.)
In case you’re in the market for a new mattress, a few things to keep in mind:
>All Leesa mattresses are ordered completely online and ship FREE to your doorstep.
>For every 10 mattresses they sell, Leesa donates one to a shelter!
>Leesa is offering $75 off your order with code: EMILY75
