while we get settled in.
I’m going to step away from the blog for a few days to try to get this house in order before school starts. I’ve never moved with this many kids or while I’ve been this old, and it would be an accurate statement to say this past weekend has kicked my butt. See you later in the week. . .
Oh my goodness Emily, I know this is so much work! Congrats on the new house, I am excited to see what you do with it! Sending prayers…and coffee. ;)
I can’t even imagine, Emily! The last time we moved I only had one child. Hope you have a productive week. I love the little bit you’ve shown so far and I can’t wait to see the rest. Congrats!
What a gorgeous entrance. I can’t imagine trying to get it all done during the back to school time. Good luck with getting settled and this special time of year. So excited for you, girl.
Good luck, lady! Can’t wait to see the house! :)
Please take care of yourself ….ie make an appointment for yourself mani, massage or what ever you love ….take that time for just you……and don’t break the appointment! Your family will thank you we will thank you cause I for one enjoy reading your blog! Thanks
Girlfriend, You are NOT old! :) However, having just helped my daughter pack up to move, welllll, I can feel your pain. Hang in there.
Deb
I’m sure this will be a transition for the ages, so I wish you many graces to get through what I’m sure feels like digging through a landslide. Go to bed early! I’m really excited to see what you do to this house, for selfish reasons- it looks just like mine! My front porch floor even has the same shattered tile with the brick border. Got any original wood trim that you have to decide what to do with??
No–fortunately, all of the trim was already painted white–so that’s one less decision to make :)
Good luck, I’m right there with you. Living in chaos for a while but slowly moving forward. Today my kids start school so I’m hoping that will speed up the process so we can get back to a bit of normality.
We moved from our first newly built townhome to our first newly built single family home when I was 6 months pregnant. I recall packing and unpacking at 6 months to be a bit of a challenge. However, I was young! I had a 2 1/2 year old as well. It went well. That was 12 years ago and two MORE homes later! Good luck!
I wish you all the best!
Thank you :)
What a lovely house. Take good care of yourself girl. Your articles are inspired. Well done. Thanks for the post.
I am so excited for you!! Try to get some rest when you can. I know it can feel like a huge undertaking, but you can do this!! My mom and I both read your blog and I said to her the other day, “did you see that Emily A Clark has a new house!” (I always refer to you in full name.) :) This is such an exciting time for you and your family.
Ha! I wonder how many people call me that. So formal, I am. :)
