In my mind, I know a big kitchen ladder would only lead to disaster. In my heart, I just think it’s really pretty. :)

Just an idea to tuck away. . .Add a small table to the end of an island if you need to extend your work space in the kitchen. I also love the big wood storage piece mixed with the black and white.

I was amazed at how good these inexpensive shelving units can look when filled with woven baskets, lots of white dishes and a little bit of green.
I think this is just about the perfect color combo for a kitchen. Lots of white + a little bit of gray + a touch of natural wood. I also love the openness of the glass cabinets and the gold sconce above the side window.

Umm, wow! The light, the ceilings. . . But, my tiny takeaway from this image is that I love how they paneled those columns and put the sconces on them.

All of my favorite elements in one “traditional meets casual” space—blue and white, slipcovers, seagrass rug, bamboo shades and a really pretty, unexpected chandelier.

Why don’t they put fireplaces in every dining room? I wonder if this was originally a living room they converted. . .

One of my all time favorites. The perfect blue for a dining room—rich without being too dark. I like the mix of seating and that the rug provides almost all of the pattern in the space.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this little Pinterest series over the last few days. It’s been really interesting to look back and see how my tastes have changed and which styles I love as much as when I originally pinned them. If you’re not already following along, you can find me on Pinterest here.
I love the ladder idea, but I agree as soon as I saw it I saw disaster! It is funny how our tastes evolve over time. Nice to see inside your head!
We had a wood table built for the end of our island, same height as island (which I think works better for conversations, etc). Unless you have extra room for that extension, I would advise against it. For gatherings, I use it as a dessert table and I am finding that I use it less and less to sit at. Not sure why as it’s a lovely table. Perhaps, I don’t “really” need it.
Girl you have some pinning skills. I LOVE so many of these spaces. And this is such a cool post idea. Love seeing why you pin these. Genius.
LOVE that wooden/glass cabinet in the kitchen with the table at the island. Also love Iron & Twine’s shelves. And really, all of the pictures are gorgeous and provide a lot of inspiration!
that last dining room!! I’d kill for some color on my walls like that rich blue. I love this pinterest series! Sometimes I pin these big, beautiful rooms for super specific, little details.. glad I’m not the only one haha
So funny to see you mention fireplaces in the dining room, because I was lusting after them in home after home in the Tulsa Parade of Homes this year. It was like all the mid to high level builders had a meeting and decided to include fireplaces next to the dining tables. Divine!
The blue in that final photo reminds me of Hilton Head. I’d love that blue in my dining room, but only with that white. Together they definitely beckon Carolina coast. Beautiful photos!
These Pinterest posts are great. Thank you!
I have that gray and white kitchen pinned as well – perfection! I also love that dining room color too. We are changing ours from red and that color could be a real possibility!

I have actually gone back and looked at some of the ugly things I pinned a few years ago…..scary:)
Do you know the paint color of the island in the fourth image? Or, the brand of the bar stools? Obsessed!
