This room just feels so relaxed. I pinned this as a reminder that no one element necessarily needs to stand out to create a really beautiful space. And, all of the natural light doesn’t hurt. . .

I like the overall feel of this room, but I really wanted to remember that the roman shade/curtain combo in the same fabric is a great idea.

Shows you can keep things really simple and still create a really beautiful little guest room. No headboard required—especially when you stack pretty framed art.

I’ve never entirely gotten over my urge to have a bedroom with dark walls. I saved this one because I just love this whole color scheme.

Well, you know I love stripes, but would never really think of narrow, vertical ones for a bedroom. With the sconce and gold mirror, this looks really classic.
You can’t go wrong with a simple black and white color scheme in the bathroom.

I just love this wallpaper. It takes a simple little powder room and pedestal sink to a whole other level.
I will forever love a piece of furniture in a bathroom. I especially love the contrast in texture with the distressed wood against all of the white.
Sometimes, I pin images for the smallest reasons. In this case, I just really liked the placement of the towel bars.

Black and white and brass = always a winning combination. I like the subway tile all the way to the ceiling.

I’ve loved going through all of these, from both posts. I definitely have some pinning to do! Thanks! Our bedroom in our last (first) house was painted a rich chocolate brown. Our current house is newly built, with same wall and trim colors throughout. I definitely miss my sleeping cave, and would do another dark bedroom in a heart beat if I could convince my husband. (His motto with paint seems to be “if it’s not broke[n], don’t fix it.” How boring!)
Emily, I love that you pin for one idea. It’s those little touches that make it feel pulled together and something I don’t always see. This has been a great series…one I think would be great every now and then I would like to train myself to start looking at my pins of the things that stand out to me.
LOVE these two posts. Not only great to see gorgeous design, but to have your expert ‘eye’ via additional context really brings them to life. Thanks.
