Did you all see this room in the newest issue of Elle Decor? Although the style isn’t really me, I like looking for the smaller details that I can apply in my own home.
I think this wrap around gallery wall (on a grid) is a great way to cover wall space and possibly balance out a big window on the other side of the room—without investing in a big piece of furniture:
I also like that the artwork itself is light and barely-there, making the whole arrangement feel more window-like. (And, if you’re looking for inexpensive frames, these are my favorites.)
That looks amazing! I love your tips for pulling ideas out of a designed room. Keep Em coming please!

I just love picking apart rooms :)
Great idea! My daughter has this same kind of a situation in her home but I hadn’t thought of such a solution—-also thanks for the frame link. Love your blog which I read every day. :)
This is really interesting and kind of a big thwack over my head, Emily. LOL. I have a stacked stone fireplace on one side wall in my living room. One other side of the room is open to the kitchen/dining, but then the two remaining walls are cathedral ceilings. I always struggle with how to fill those two tall walls with something, while still having my fireplace be the focal point. I love reading your blog. Such simple, easy to understand ideas. Thank you!
Great idea! I think it would look wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
!Love me a good gallery wall and this one is beautiful and unique. I also enjoy picking out the small details in magazine rooms. Sometimes something as small as a vase or particular flower arrangement catches my eye.
I think the first time I saw a wrap around gallery wall was your old dining room? So maybe they were inspired by you! :)
Mine is much smaller and it’s not a grid but I have one in my daughter, Lily’s room!
