I’m a huge fan of how wall sconces look in bedrooms, whether paired with lamps on the nightstand or alone.
I just discovered these when shopping for lighting for my boys’ bedroom and thought I’d pass this deal along.
Pottery Barn sconce // Allen + Roth wall lamp
The Lowe’s lamps aren’t available in a gold finish (which I love!), but for that price, they’d be easy to spray paint like the ones I did for our family room.
Thanks for this, Emily! I’m redoing my boys’ rooms and I’ve been looking for a sconce.
I LOVE this look too and am thinking about purchasing the PB sconces to go on each side of my bed. I noticed that the max light bulb wattage is 40W. I love the look of them, but worry that they won’t produce enough light. Those make such a statement, so I’m not sure if they would look right with a lamp. Any suggestions??
I used the Lowes swing arm in my office and I love it.
Love the look of sconces in the bedroom as well – functional and space-saving! I actually purchased 2 of the Allen & Roth oil-rubbed bronze wall sconces from Lowe’s for my boys’ bedroom. They work fine for us, but caution, they don’t swing “flat” against the wall.
Love these, Emily! Good find on the Lowe’s lamps. Another great option for wall sconces that have that brass element you said you loved are the white/brass Ranarp clamp lamps from IKEA. I just put two of them up in our bedroom and LOVE them! (They’re here if you want to see: http://www.mayricherfullerbe.com/2014/08/master-bedroom-update.html)
OH wow, Love the LOWE’s version. Great post, Emily!

I love a swing arm wall lamp next to the bed. We had them at one of our previous homes but the buyers wanted them to remain and I have missed them ever since. For a while they were hard to find at a reasonable price but it seems they have become more popular lately and are much easier to find.
I saw these in our lowes ad last week and just about had a heart attack! Love them! I am planning on getting 2 for my office/guest room.
Thanks for this recommendation! Nice deal.
The Lowe’s lamps are JUST what I have been looking for! We don’t have a Lowe’s in or near Santa Barbara, so I will have to ask my dad to pick a few up for me and bring them to my home the next time he visits.

Wow the Allen & Roth version is so reasonable!! I’ve been wanting some for our master bedroom.
I love the look of sconces in the bedroom and purchased the last remaining one. Will it look alright to have just one next to the bed or do I need 2?
I think it really depends on your bed placement. If it’s closer to one wall than another and you’re not aiming for everything to be exactly symmetrical, I think it could work. I’m pretty sure the lamp is something Lowe’s stocks on a regular basis, though, so you might want to check back.
Ordered the Lowe’s version — I can always spray paint . . . . later . . . . or not! Perfect for the guest bedroom on each side of the bed. In comparison the PB version seems a bit pretentious and I have seen them in person. The head seems a bit heavy for the screw to hold it, in my opinion. Thanks, Emily, for sharing this great look-alike!
Great! So glad it worked out.
