I don’t have very much wall space in our kitchen, but I still had room to hang a few cutting boards that I recently painted. If you’re looking for an easy, less-than-30-minute project for your kitchen or dining room walls, this is it. I always pick up wood cutting boards when I see them at Goodwill or Habitat ReStore. It doesn’t matter how scratched they are. Just grab some painter’s tape, a small brush and some black paint. (I’ve used both gloss and chalkboard.) They’re easy to hang, and there’s something about the texture paired with the dark paint that I really like.
(Our kitchen walls are Shoji White and the pantry doors are Urbane Bronze—both by Sherwin Williams. All of my paint colors are listed here.)
What cute and simple “art”. Love how they look near your dark door on the light walls. Have a great weekend! :)

How fun is this. What a creative idea.
Love that idea! It’s so simple, but so cute for a kitchen.
