Vintage Embroidered Pillowcases

May 7, 2014

There’s something so delicate about embroidered pillowcases. The little attention to detail. Like a surprise under all of your other pillows, just peeping out.

I found several pairs for my booth at the antique mall, but decided to hang on to this set—for now.

I love how the little bit of gold works with all of the other gold accents already going on in the room:

I have several other pairs of embroidered pillowcases for sale in my shop. (Some of these would be too sweet for a little girl’s bed!)

I sleep with some embroidered pillow cases that my grandmother made years ago. Love them.

My mom found some pillowcases she had embroidered for me years ago, but never gave them to me. I love them because they’re so sweet and personal.

Those do work beautifully in your bedroom. How I wish I was close enough to stop by your booth. I can see so many things I want just from the picture! :)

Off topic, but I am coveting the black console table in your booth photo. Could you let me know where to find one similar to it online? CA resident so I can’t stop by to buy it from you. Please and Thank you!

    I love them too!!
Over a year ago my parents had an auction. While sorting various things from their attic, my sister and I found several pairs of beautifully embroidered pillowcases that had been wedding gifts. They’d never been used! It’s kinda sad but my sister and I were thrilled. We divided them between us and are making good use of them today.

I have stacks of old pillow cases and dish towels that my mother cross stitched years ago. I used a cute pink set for my girl’s bed. I love those gold ones that you found!

I LOVE embroidered pillowcases. I have quite a few thanks to my very talented grandmothers! I use them in my guest room and I love changing them out for new company and, if I’m honest, just for me to see :)
