I asked to see your ugly bathrooms, and you answered. Thanks to everyone who submitted their photos. I had a good time going through them! Honorable mentions included everything from a pink toilet to a bidet draped and disguised under a tablecloth. :)
But, in the end, I chose Charisse’s jungle of a master bath, because I can sympathize with wallpaper that overwhelms. Here are the pictures she sent, along with a portion of her email:
She wanted the bathroom to have a romantic feel, and flow from her bedroom that’s already decorated in serene colors. She loves the wall color in that room, so I suggested she extend the same paint color into her master bath. She also said she was willing to strip the wallpaper and dreams of a stand alone tub. This is the inspiration board I designed for the space:
Allen + Roth Ketterton Vanity // Allen + Roth Ketterton Bathroom Mirror
Wall color: Soothing Celadon by Behr // Door Color: Dark as Night by Olympic Paint
Ella Taupe Fabric (for shorter curtains to hang on window behind tub)
Z-Lite Ashbury Bronze Pendant Light // “Grey Beach” painting by Lisa Golightly
American Standard Freestanding Bathtub // Lacquer Louis Stool in Ella Taupe Fabric
Chevron Sculpted Bath Towels // Chilo Grey Floor Tile
Thanks to Lowe’s for sponsoring this post.
Emily, it is L-O-V-E-L-Y and such a perfect match for what we have already completed in the bedroom! I love every, single thing! How did you know?! Now I just may have to put my kitchen remodel on hold to start the master bathroom! Thank you for the inspiration and the time and energy you devoted to this! Did I just type 5 exclamation points? Yep. ~Charisse
Charisse, SO glad you like it! Now, if I can only find the motivation to start working on my own :)
