1. A beautiful—but not too formal—navy dining room.
2. This became one of our favorite summer meals last year.
Time to start making it again.
3. This room feels like Spring.
4. An incredible kitchen makeover. (Those lights!!)
5. A new Spring accessory line from Nate Berkus at Target.
6. The world’s most important—and impossible—job description.
I cannot locate a name or recipe for your fave summer meal showed on blog today, did I miss it ?
Nancy, click on the word “this” right under photo and it’ll take you directly to recipe :)
Excellent links. I’m so making that salad today! Thank you! :)
Dear Emily, My sister & I both immensely enjoy your blog on a daily basis! We love your dec. style & we also both enjoy antiquing, so we have had fun watching you prepare your booth. I love your Sat. blog every week as it sometimes introduces me to some new places I’ve not seen or wouldn’t have otherwise found. BUT, today……WOW! I’m not one to share in the comments section, but I can’t walk w/out doing so today. It.touched.my.heart. The little video @ the bottom?? I had no idea when it started what it was about & had the giggles half way through & tears @ the end. Both my sister & I are stay @ home moms. I walked away from a nice paying corporate job 16 yrs. ago (I went into labor 6 am the morning after I walked away) & my sister walked away from a well-loved H.S. teaching job 9 years ago. Neither of us have any regrets. It is the best & hardest job we’ll ever have had & neither would trade a minute of it……well, maybe a few minutes here & there – ; ) !! We both feel so grateful we’ve been able to be full time Moms. Thank you for the beautiful post!! I can’t wait to show my kids (after I taxi them to/from all their Sat. a.m. functions!!) God Bless-
So glad you commented :)
Oh my gosh, the firm that created that kitchen is amazing! Talk about eye candy. I love their designs! Best of luck with you booth, Emily. I soooo wish I lived closer–I’d be there for sure!
I love your blog and enjoy reading your posts every day…bummed that we are geographically displaced, as I’d love to see your new store up close and personal :) I’m in Northern VA, so far enough that it isn’t feasible at the present. You are so talented!! Best of luck, as I know it will be uber successful!
#6…. Awesome!!!
Enily, your subtle hidden gems are always my favorites. The video was #1 today & I couldn’t resist posting it w/ my own twist for my 3 grown, unmarked children children. #2 I’m so very sad I am not close enough to drop by your shop. I see a dozen things I want or must have. The 3 matching mirrors are a must have for my tiny space to expand the space. The others I won’t list but I could cause a big dent requiring a need to restock overnight. Love your style. It was so me when I had my first child 34 years ago and now I am working to get back there because it’s my comfort zone. Love that I found you. Penny in OKC (but a true Texas girl)
In LOVE with those pendant lights!! Those are simply amazing :) Really enjoy your blog… wonderful taste!

Hi Emily, I wanted to let you know I made this corn bacon avocado recipe with a few additions per my family’s tastebuds and it was divine! I shared my inspired recipe this morning at http://wp.me/p4mCL2-nM where I mention your name. Just wanted to share it with you and thank you so much for posting this dandy summer dish!
So glad you liked it. I’ve been adding cherry tomatoes and changed to turkey bacon lately. Even better, I think!
