Called a “desert gem cactus”. They remind me of Skittles :)
I saw all of these at my local Home Depot when I was there picking up paint for our front door. All were $10 or under (so I won’t be heartbroken when I inevitably kill them). I picked up a Eugenia topiary and a new succulent.
Speaking of the front door, it was installed last week and I’m working on putting the final coats of paint on it today. I like it so much better already.
Love the topiaries, they are fabulous. The door looks amazing too. Hugs, Marty
How did you decide on a front door? Ours needs replacing and I would love your guidance on how to choose from the many options! xo
I just wanted something with a cleaner look that would still fit our traditional house and let in some light. I’ll be doing another post soon with more details on wood vs. metal, etc.
Oooh! Guess I know where I am heading this week! It is snowing again today so anything I can do to bring the spring inside is a win!
You’re a better woman than me. Not sure I could handle snow in April.
Ooh, I love the topiaries. Haven’t seen them at my Home Depot though. I just went down the plant isle asking myself, What haven’t I killed yet? I hope I have more success than usual with my new plants!
I was just at Home Depot today and ours didn’t have much in the plant department yet but those topiaries are a fabulous deal – but so glad you posted about them b/c I will be on the lookout!
Ohhhh, can’t wait to go get some of these topiaries! I was at Lowe’s the other day and they had some just like those but they were $30!
Cute stuff! I, too, recently killed an orchid, which managed to survive several weeks, at least. And now I have a mini potted daffodil currently risking its life on my kitchen table. Wish it luck!
Thanks for the great advice! I always have luck with Philodendrons but anything else is bound to die! I will try some of these!
Oh, I love the first plant! I’m glad you posted again about your front door. I read your previous door posts, but did I miss the link to that particular door? We are in the market to replace ours and I love the clean lines and look of your new door. I would love to know where it was purchased. Thanks!
Loving the new front door!!
Love those! I think I need to go plant shopping now :)
Oh yes…I love the new front door. It is perfect! HD and Ikea are both great places for “disposable” plants:)
Hi! I just bought one of these cute cactuses and I was wondering how often you water it?
