A $150 Room Service Designer Giveaway {CLOSED}

March 6, 2014

LND1

As with many things in life, figuring out where to start when it comes to decorating (or redecorating a room) is the hardest part. Do you paint the walls first, or replace the sofa, or buy a new rug? But, if you buy the rug, then you’ll have to change out the pillows, which means you may end up changing out the curtains. . . And, how high do you hang the curtains exactly? Should they puddle, pool or skim the floor? Should you use a pattern on the curtains? Or, on the chair? Or both? Or, will that be too much pattern? Yes, I know you’ve had this conversation in your head.

Meet Lauren. She’s here to help:

LND6

Lauren Nicole Designs is now offering the Room Service Designer. Design delivered to your door—or inbox—in three easy steps.

After an initial phone conversation and submitting more info about the room to Lauren, she provides you with a detailed plan and design board that might look something like this:

    Our dining/living area! We just moved into a small (but big to us!) brand new apartment in NYC and it’s a total blank slate. (Think white walls, wood floors). We have great furniture pieces but are in desperate need of bringing some color and personality into the space to make it our own. :)

It’s long, has no windows (but some natural light) and has one large brick wall and one large paneled wall I can’t figure out what to do with. (Wow, it sounds so horrible when put that way. After finally meeting Mr. Right, selling both of our homes and settling into our forever home, finding a way to blend our differing styles into a cohesive look for our great room simply hasn’t happened.! We have nice furniture, but the wall color is off and committing to window treatments… we’ll, I can’t decide what to do! I’m also unsure about how to handle an undefined entryway since our front door opens right into our main room. I would LOVE to have professional help so that Mr. Right and I can live happily ever after in a home that truly fits the two of us as well as we fit each other!

    You took the words right out of my mouth! I don’t know what to buy first. I don’t have furniture for it yet, but not sure if I should pick out the rug first or the furniture. Curtains? Haven’t given them a thought yet! How to configure the furniture is my biggest problem! It is our living room which is the first room you see when you first walk in the front door. It’s not a huge room, but has an usual window configuration and a fireplace with built ins. I envision a comfy reading area, but have no clue where to begin! Right now it looks like we have a dance-floor in our living area because it’s completely bare! Please help!!

    Our bedroom needs some attention, for sure! It’s the only room in the house without curtains, intentional night stands or anything on the walls – and could use direction like no other. It has great bones… The bed is gorgeous, dresser was a great find, and new lamps are my favorites in the house, but the rest? We may or may not still have a bistro table from my first apartment standing in on one side of the bed… I’m ready for a retreat like no other!

    What an exciting give-away! Our den is my husbands room. He wants to do it himself, but has no starting point. We sure could use some help.

    I’d probably use her services for my family room. It needs to be painted and needs some little touches to change it up.

    Pretty much my whole house. We just bought a MCM and the furniture we already have does not go in the slightest. I’m a little stumped as to where to start so the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Thanks!

    Hmmm….tough choice. I would love help in all my rooms. But I guess I would have to pick my dining room. I’m trying to figure out a way to convert it into a dining room/office & craft space since we don’t use it for fine dining very often.

    We welcomed our third child (baby Penelope) in November and have been in the process of transforming our formal living room into a home office for my husband. My husband’s office was Penelope’s room but he was evicted in September as we needed to make room for our new bundle. I’m having difficulty incorporating a workable office into a sitting room as we both enjoy reading in this room. I bought a carpet which I am now considering throwing out as it doesn’t seem to work. Help!

    Our dining room needs some help. We’re just about finished restoring our 1902 house, but I’m still undecided on the dining room. I’d love to hang wallpaper and keep it formal, but I’m just not sure. I need a pro! ;)

    All of my rooms need help :) but if i had to choose one it would be my formal area. Living/dining combo. I use the dining area as an office. We are not a formal family…lol!

    My den needs help – it’s been so fun to piece meal and figure out how to make it livable but it is now at a crossroads – chairs are worn, I don’t think furniture is to scale and just needs a facelift. Great post and service – thanks!
