One of my goals for this year is to make better use of the space we do have in our house—especially in the kids’ rooms. I started by cleaning up a haphazard corner in the girls’ bedroom and giving them a little storage and display space. (It also makes me happy that it’s not such an eyesore anymore when I look down the hall at their room.)
I’m sharing more details and (before & after) photos over on the Pottery Barn Kids Building Blocks blog today.
Such a good idea and cheerful too!
I just figured out those are beads in the bowl. When I was reading your blog on my iphone today, I thought those were fruity pebbles and I wondered how you got your toddlers to not eat them. Now, I know it was beads. But I still think you’re a great mom, even if you do serve wooden beads…
Well, who knows? There are no guarantees. Someone probably has eaten a wooden bead or two at some point… :)
I love the desk! I am looking to redo my 7 year old’s room, a desk like your would be the perfect option for the limited room we have in that room. Any ideas on where I can locate one?
I got very lucky and found that tiny desk at a consignment shop, but I had been looking for months. Will let you know if I run across something similar online.
I love the over door hangers but don’t like seeing the silver from the room. I don’t see any overhang in your girls room. Do the pottery barn teen ones hang over so you see them when door is closed?
You can see them, but they’re very small. Not too noticeable to me. I had thought about spraying them white but decided they didn’t bother me enough.
i love the painted ceilings in the girls’ room!
