This might be my new favorite spot in our house. It makes me happy every time I look at it. Framed pictures of your kids are so much better than the ones that stay on your camera memory card or CD for years and years while you have good intentions.
We’ve been lucky enough to have several family photo sessions with this girl since the babies have been born. And, she did too good of a job of capturing “us” to not enjoy them in our home. So, I finally sat down, planned out what size frames I wanted where, and placed a big fat order of black and white photographs for our master bedroom.
(In case you missed my armoire makeover, you can read about it here.)
I love being reminded of these sweet times on a daily basis. This wall now tells a story, and it makes me feel extra grateful to see how God has grown our family when it’s all hung together in one spot.
I am the first person to comment?? Emily I agree with you….those are definitely images to be enjoyed on a daily basis. You are blessed to have such a beautiful family. On a design side….BOOM….they look fabulous!
You win the prize!! :)
Absolutely beautiful! What kind of gold spray paint do you use to paint the frames?
It makes me want to order larger prints in the future. I find I often get 8×10 and it doesn’t make as much of an impact! The gallery wall looks amazing!
Gorgeous, Emily! We have a gallery wall in our master bedroom, too and it is my favorite wall in our whole house! There is nothing better to see before I go to bed every night and wake up to every morning. Love the gold frames, too! ;)
Your large prints make such an impact, and I love how you mixed up some gold frames with the black. What sweet memories staring you in the face every day! You’ve got my wheels turning for some prints of our own!
We just put up a photo gallery in our bedroom. What a better place to see your family every day!
Precious and priceless!
Love it Emily. And it’s so nice to be surrounded by your sweet family.
What a master bedroom should be … about your family! And you, of course, showcase that precious family beautifully! xo
I love, love this. I’ve read “home decor” advises that says no family pictures, but I love looking at family memories. Do you mind sharing the kind of spray paint you used for this project? Thanks!
Love the mix of gold and black and that you use the whole wall from floor to ceiling. You don’t see that as much and it looks very dramatic and makes way more a statement. Such adorable kids always help the look too! Well done.

Absolutely gorgeous Emily!
Love, love, love it! The gold looks really great.
LOVE IT!!! I bet it’s even more stunning in person with those oversized frames!
I mean, gorgeous. It’s perfect! Might steal this idea for a big empty wall in our bedroom!
What a fantastic gallery wall of your beautiful family. I really like the ikea frames and LOVE your armoire makeover.
Love it! What a wonderful thing for you to wake up to every morning :) xo Kristin
Beautiful! Can one have too many gallery walls in a home? I have one now, but love the look so much I’d like to do them in other rooms! I’d love to know what kind of gold spray paint you used. It’s so hard to tell from the cap what you will get. Thank you!
I have several cans of gold spray paint in our garage and honestly, I’m not sure I used the same one for all of the frames. I like RustOleum and Valspar metallic golds.
Do you have problem hanging up the Ribba frames? I love the way they look but they never seem to hang right. Do you have any tips?
I just make sure that little wire is as tight as possible. They’re kind of a paint to put together but worth it for the $$, in my opinion.
Emily, do you have the IKEA duvet cover on your bed? Can you show a photo of how it is styled? I have it, and I am at a loss for what pillows to put with it.
Thanks!
Yes, it is! I’m working on better shots of the room, but here’s basically what I have with it:

Emily, it looks amazing! Great job!
Wow!! That looks amazing!!
Looks amazing, Emily! Love the gold mixed in too!
Too sweet, Emily! How sad to think we leave our most treasured photos on our phone and computer. :( Great scale for your large armoire, too!
love the gold spray paint on the frames. great idea!
Absolutely perfect Emily! Love the photo of you holding the babies the most!!!!
This would be my favorite place too! I love how large the photos are. I have a few Ribba frames painted gold and I love the pop they add. Beautiful job!

Ah, a good reminder to do something with all my photos! We have a family photo shoot this weekend so the timing is perfect.
Just love it! Especially in the gold frames! Can you have too many gallery walls in your house? lol Have a great day!

I love the mix of black and gold!
I love it, so pretty and I love the gold frames. Hugs, Marty
Love the oversized prints… and I love how the gold frames pull out the gold hardware on the armoire. Really pulls it all together :)
Love this! Your gallery is precious ( : Would you mind sharing the wall paint color?
Sure–it’s Shoji White by Sherwin Williams.
Thank you!

A blessing indeed! Totally adore your gallery wall. I’ve been hoarding frames to do the same in our family room surrounding the tv! This just made me even more excited about that project!
Your kids are so precious! I really need to print our pictures, too. I’ve been saying that for…four years now. Geez! I only have three kids and I’m a hot mess. ;)
Just so lovely! This is so simple, yet strikingly beautiful. Great job, Emily!
Love it, what a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning :)
That is the best view a mamma could have each morning. So lovely and there is no better way to put a smile on your face. Great work!
Wow! I am doing this! So awesome, I know that with having five kids it’s so easy to let time slip away. Great job!
I love it. Staples is having a sale til November 14.99 for a framed a 16 x 20 photo! Just ordered 6 photos! Love your photographer…such feeling in those shots.xo Nancy
Great deal–thanks for letting us know.
Gorgeous Emily – love the way you arranged them around the armoire!
Thanks for sharing, Emily! Love the way it turned out!
This is absolutely beautiful, Emily! This would be my favorite place in the house too. Nothing more special than your babies!
I love this wall! Such a beautiful thing to wake up to everyday!
I love this wall, too!
What are your thoughts on gallery walls – specifically how many a house “should” have? At current count I have three in progress, and I’m doubting myself. But I love gallery walls. What are your thoughts?
I love it! The large size of all the frames really makes it in my opinion!
Love the wall!!! Can I ask which gold spray paint brand/color shade did you use?
I too like the walls…it seems i feel some nice memories. Thank you for sharing this idea. http://www.luluhypermarket.com/GoodLife/home-decor-accessories.html
This is awesome! I was looking to do something similar and love how this turned out. Curious which frame you used with the photos you printed to 12×18 because it doesn’t appear there is one that will work quite right. Did you cut your own mats?
Diane, i had the same question. Just completed a gallery wall in my own home with IKEA 16 x20 RIBBA frames and had to get custom mats cut–this was a very expensive way to go and I would not do it again. I am curious what size frames were used for the 12 x 18 print…
