Using White in the Dining Room

July 2, 2013

Although we no longer have a formal dining room around here, I received some beautiful photos from one of my readers who recently finished this design for her clients’ federal colonial home and thought it might offer some inspiration for those of you trying to decide on a paint color for your dining room.

I love how Denise opted for white walls—not always the obvious choice when creating a formal dining space.   But, this room is a great example of how a few colorful touches can be enough.  (The walls were yellow before, by the way.)

The artwork makes the room. It encouraged me to buy a colorful abstract picture today for my house today.

Naz, I was thinking of the same. I’d love to know what print you bought. Or if anyone has any etsy shop recommendations for large art like this
