Not only is summer quickly blowing by, but I even saw a back-to-school commercial last week (before the fourth of July!). Since my kids have been in school, I make the same promises—to myself—each summer: to slow down, to play more, to work less, to make each day fun. . .
Then, life happens, opportunities come along, laundry piles up, and I find myself spending most of my waking hours in the kitchen trying to feed five hungry birds breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and cleaning up afterwards. It feels no less busy than the school year, and I’m afraid regret will set in come late August that I didn’t take more advantage of these days.
So, I’m curious how you all find ways to slow down the days of summer so it doesn’t just all pass by in a blur? I’m going to take the rest of the week off from blogging, for starters.
(But, I’ll see you back here on Monday for the kids’ spaces link up and Pottery Barn Kids giveaway.)
