This is the first year I’ve had an herb garden. But, it looks like I might be starting over again. This is how it looked a couple of weeks ago. So pretty, healthy, and . . . . green.
And, this is how it looks now:
Did you know these things needed water?! :)
I guess I casually mentioned to my husband (a few times) that he needed to water the black pot on the patio while the kids and I went out of town last week. He did great with the other planter (my lantana is growing beautifully!), but he somehow missed this one.
In his defense, I did come home to a clean house with all of the sheets and towels washed and folded. I can live without my basil, I suppose. . .
On the bright side, this gives me a reason to think of other fun herb garden ideas. I might use this wine crate I got at the flea market and put individual terracotta pots in it:
